Sound & Vision render a gushing revue to the Kaleidescape 1080p player , a DVD upscaler that streams motion picture from a home server for the cost of a nice used elevator car . They specially liked the Gennum VXP telecasting processor cow dung , which upscales videodisk capacity to vividly shrill 1080p particular , with very accurate colors and high line . The Kaleidescape ’s updated ability to act content without importing it to the server first was also a big draw . But severely , $ 4300 ? do on .
It still does n’t play real HD ( Blu - beam of light supportwon’t be around till 2009 ) like a much chintzy Xbox , AppleTV , Vudu or PS3 , and we can already import DVD for a streamer using the freeware Handbrake . If we did want to toy high quality content without importing it , we ’d just buy a $ 99 upscaling DVD player . useable now , gain the link for the full review , but please do n’t conceive it .
