Nothing really happens in last night ’s sequence of Arrow . And yet the episode is filled with affair Happening . lease ’s look at the episode - long highlight bobbin .
What really happened in last night ’s episode ? I guess they got rid of Solomon Grundy , but there was n’t really anything tight enough to call a plot . The title , “ Three Ghosts , ” show the installment ’s disjointed nature . Even one of those trace — which Ollie is hallucinate — turns out not to be a spook , further fragmenting the theme . That ’s how mussy it was . And yet it had a lot of outstanding here and now .
This was n’t what you ’d call a queer episode , but I had some private hilarity . If you recall , last episode they drugged Barry , and drag him to the Arrowcave . Why they did this , I do n’t bonk . Supposedly they did it because he needs to heal Ollie of whatever drug got stuck in Ollie ’s second joint last hebdomad . Realistically , Barry is not a Dr. . He ca n’t help . So when he enounce things like , “ I can think of four different diagnoses , ” I express mirth and laugh and also think of four diagnoses . ( I amount up with flu , syphilis , fluphilis , and syphloo . Be fair . My hypothesis is as good as Barry ’s . ) Barry finds out that Ollie ’s blood is clot inside him . Felicity says , “ But you may save him , right , ” and I want , so much , for Barry to say , “ No , Felicity . I ca n’t . I ’m not a doctor . ” Instead , it ’s even practiced . He gives Ollie a dose of anticoagulant in the form of rat poisonous substance . This lead Ollie to say the argumentation that makes me express joy until I snort nutella up my nose , “ The rat poison you gave me — are there any side effects ? ”
There ’s even more hilarity when Roy takes his pierced leg to Thea and Sin , who also whole run out to go to a MD . alternatively they put him in bed and get Thea ’s boozy , PTSD - suffering , CEO brother yank out the pointer . Nary a dissent between them . Having created a massive hemorrhage injury , that buddy then calls his number one wood so that number one wood can make his way to the house and , when he arrive , perhaps stitch up the hole . Who are these people ? Did someone in scouring bite them when they were children ?
Ollie is hallucinating three dead people . First there ’s Shado , who tells him to live . I do n’t bang why she would bother , because during island flashback , Ivo makes Ollie choose whether Shado or Sarah will be killed . Given the option between the woman who is presently his girlfriend , is a worthful and trusted ally , and has save Ollie ’s life while teaching him martial arts , and the womanhood who has cuckold him multiple times , Ollie fall on his knees in front of Sarah . That is some blond solidarity , mightily there .
Shado , in what is a genuinely shocking moment , is killed . Of course , then Slade pops to life again . ( When Ollie hallucinate him as a spook he says that Ollie is a coward and deserves to decease more than the established thousand deaths for it . ) Slade uses his superstrength to massacre most of Ivo ’s chemical group . Sarah displays her economic value by lie her head off , say , “ Ivo kill her . He did n’t say why . ”
I ’m tear about this . On the one paw , it fits into the develop plot of the sequence and really works dramatically . On the other , it seems like a fridging . If anything , Shado is more of a Green Arrow villain then Deathstroke . He was a Teen Titans scoundrel , in the first place . Something better could have been done with her . Then again , it ’s not like you may rely on anyone to stay stagnant on this show .
Speaking of utter people , the last trace is Tommy . He is , I think , the Ghost of Self - Esteem . It ’s lucky he comes when he does because Ollie really involve him . Roy regained just enough pegleg strength to get himself kidnapped and inject with the serum . Laurel had tip off him off that Sin ’s dead friend had been psychologically evaluated at a suspicious clinic . ( Laurel is also in a romance with Alderman Blood . I swear , Katie Cassidy must have walked into the writers ’ elbow room hold a hunting knife in one hand and someone ’s severed head in the other because they ’re in the end making her character relevant again . ) When Roy break out the clinic and find the guy ’s filing cabinet stamped “ Mirikuru ” ( oy ) , he got arrest .
Ollie seek to save him , gets beat down , and that ’s when Tommy ’s ghost steps him and calls Ollie a Cuban sandwich . He on the face of it also gives Ollie clout and murder power , because suddenly Ollie can take out Grundy with punches and Elvis . Roy live the injection , is healed , and inexplicably lies to Thea about the whole matter . I ’m sure that wo n’t cause any problem .
Now get ’s get to the serious stuff . Blood go to his boss , say that he ’ll have to re - begin making the blood serum . We do n’t need more than the gaffer articulate a few word in a familiar accent to know who he is , but I love the reveal of Slade Wilson , now Deathstroke , with the goatee and the middle patch . We ’ve been waiting for this for a season and a half . I think this franchise find a way of life to get lasting success . Throw in all the Big Bad baddie you may in every season . Ra ’s al Ghul , whoever Isabel turn out to be , Brother Blood , Barrowman , and Deathstroke — it ’s a delicious broth of villainy and I want to adhere my aspect in it .
And now , the continuity question : Which did you care better , Ollie finally , finally , after all this metre , getting a masque ? Or Barry ’s freehanded transformation into the Flash ?
