Adam “ Batman ” West is a track record exec who creates evil robot popstars , in Sexina Popstar , P.I. , a crack - cheesy new clowning . Sexina direct to be a campy clowning about a world - noted singer who puts on a leather catsuit and kickboxes ninjas in her spare time . It ’s a precious concept , and there are lots of sweet moments in the film . But Sexina never really kicks ass in the movie . She does hit a guy with a bottleful at one period , and there ’s a kind of innocent - for - all at the oddment . And again . And again . And again . ) The movie is direct for a sort of John Waters - lite campiness , but does n’t have the mettle to go all the way over the top . The result is a moving picture which is n’t cartoony enough to get away with its nonsensical premise and one - distinction role . The fishy part is a guy in a completely silly fake bear costume who mauls a random thug , and apparently that ’s because the film maker get the unseasonable bear costume by mistake .
West , as the main villain , goes all - the - direction gay , which apparently emerged in rehearsal . The picture show ’s baddie , who letches all his robotic boy - bands , was n’t imagine to be quite so gay . But West just get gayer and gayer with every ladder - through and take .

They mentioned they ’d think Sexina would have a portion of commercial-grade note value , but distributor have n’t agreed because it does n’t come down into a full-strength genre and nobody knows how to commercialise it .
