In the Wonder Woman trailer , there were brief look at Diana acquire her costume , shield , and steel from where they are being carefully maintain on the island . It did n’t seem like she was doing it with license , but Entertainment Weekly’sexact wordfor what she ’s doing is “ steals . ” Here ’s what we get word in the laggard :

Along with the photo was a comment from director Patty Jenkins ( Monster ) describing the grandness of Diana ’s determination to take these matter and go into the world of men . “ This is her second . She ’s heard all the terrible things about man ’s commonwealth . But she ’s also pick up that mankind is in need and under duress . This is her great second to make the decision to be the one to try and save them , ” said Jenkins .
There havebeenrumorsthat part of this motion picture ’s patch include Ares and his desire for a hefty Amazon sword , and that the war is a means in for him . That could explain why the island was attack by German — as patsies for the God Killer - seeking Ares . And maybe Diana has played mightily into his hand by taking it off the island .
