It only take about 17 episodes , but last night ’s Grimm in the end hand over on the squirming underbelly of faggot tale crime this serial has been promising forever . For the first time , ever , I actually like about Hank and Sgt . Wu . And I did n’t need a CG Anteater creature to carry the disposable plot line .
This workweek Grimm wrap up the ongoing Adalind Hexenbeast story , and damn if it was n’t pretty good . Sure there were a bunch of plot holes about the unusual lengths they went to get this very important Francis Scott Key that we ’re really only finding out about now ( so that ’s what the Captain is after ) . And I ’m not really sure what specific purpose Jessica Tuck ( Nanners from True Blood ) was serving as Adalind ’s Mama , but you fuck what ? It was highly entertaining . The more Nanners the substantially . Right ? Of course right . Plus Tuck did open up up the villain humanity of Grimm a bit . The leech scene was pretty potent . The hearing actually got to spend a lot of time with the Big Bads this week , look out the Captain talk about various political fairy families , seduce both mother and daughter Hexenbeast , and cover his course . While I ’m still not sure what ’s going on with this fella , he ’s still very overlooking and scary . Let ’s go for we get out what this scary Florida key is all about .
We also spend a bit of time with Sgt . Wu , who was busy gobbling up all sorts of odd detail . Which meant the more battery he swallowed , the less clip would he spent extradite his terrible laugh ( something I ’ve grown to love about this lad ) . For once it truly felt like Pilates Wolf was n’t carry this show kick and scream by its pinna .
But most amazingly , the best part of this episode was watch Nick mickle with Hank . From the surprise double escort where Nick threatens Adalind in the cellar , to Hank ’s phylogeny into a sort of terrifying , preoccupied sneak , we had a lot of playfulness watching Nick treat the position . We care Nick would have been a bit more bummed about his sweetie rejecting his married couple proposal from last calendar week , but you ca n’t have it all we estimate . And to actually make me emote for Hank , well that ’s a job well done .
Bravo for playing with the side characters and give thanks you for not involving a monster of the week to stress and force an worked up response from the audience . The groundwork has been localize , and we ’re all ever so happy that the show has started to play with the good they ’ve been educate . I can only desire that we ’ll be receive more Nanners and more Captain very , very soon . Fingers crossbreed the 2d time of year a passel like the commodity we ’re getting properly here , right now .
