On Wednesday’s episode ofLive with Mark and Kelly, the cohosts and longtime married couple revealed that as they have gotten older, their before bedtime rituals have become more complex.
“It’s great because the two of us, we come here to work and we’re like, ‘Oh, look at you, look at you.’ Because last night when we gave each other a kiss goodnight, I had my retainer in and I had all my creams on — like, I’m slimy,” Ripa told the audience. “When I go to bed, you can slip right off me. I had my creams on and I had my retainer in. And then he’s got his nasal magnets on.”
The couple, whohave been married for nearly three decades, went on to lament how they used to look “sexy” when they turned in at night.

“We should do a taped piece of us just getting for bed,” Ripa continued. “Because it is, and I don’t want to brag, pretty much the least sexy thing I’ve ever seen. I’m not kidding, we used to be like, fairly…”
“Hot?” Consuelos supplied.
Ripa concurred, “Not the sexiest people, but we were hot for each other and things looked hotter.”
TheAll My Childrenalum went on to say their routine reminds her of watching her parents and thinking, “I can’t believe they had kids.”
Magnetic nasal strips and retainers aside, Ripa and Consuelos have plenty of stylish moments when they’re not preparing for bed.

Earlier this month, the couple — who share sonsMichael, 26,Joaquin, 21, and daughterLola, 22 — got an early start on celebrating their upcoming 28th wedding anniversary when theyreturned to Las Vegas' the Chapel of the Bellswhere they eloped on May 1, 1996. While there, Ripa and Consuelos looked stylish as theyrecreated their wedding photoat the chapel.

Consuelos wore a black suit and white dress shirt open at the neck, while Ripa donned a stunning satin blue-green dress. The chat show host wore her blonde hair in loose waves that fell past her shoulders.
The return to Las Vegas, led to Ripareflecting on her wedding day. She recently told PEOPLE, “It was really romantic, though. It was very sweet. “We cherish those memories, still to this day. It’s been 28 years and we still can remember every minute of that wedding. And I mean, it was really minutes. It was like two minutes!”
