Ever since she was a little girl,Niecy Nashknew she would be famous.
In the upcoming Sept. 15 episode ofSecret Celebrity Renovation,Nash recounts the “full circle moment” of being honored with a star on theHollywood Walk of Fameto hostNischelle Turner.
In an exclusive clip of the sweet exchange shared with PEOPLE, Turner asks Nash, “I remember you telling me when you were a little girl you were walking with, was it your grandmother?”
Remembering the story Turner’s referring to, Nash quickly responds, “Oh, I was with my dad.” She explains that the two were walking down the Hollywood Walk of Fame, looking at the stars.

Nash tells Turner that she approached Asner and said, “Sir, I know you don’t know me, but I’m going to have a star right here on this ground.” Nash notes that Asner replied with an unbothered, “Yeah, get out of here, kid. Scram.”
The young Nash was persistent, telling Asner that she was serious. As the actor walked away, Nash says she called out to him, “My name is Niecy. Remember my name!”
Nash tells Turner she contacted Asner after discovering she would receive a star on the Walk of Fame. “I sent him a message, and I was like, ‘I would love for you to come.'”
Nash reveals Asner replied, “I’m so glad you didn’t let a crotchety old man step on your dream, and of course, I know your name,” before telling theClawsactor, “I’ll be there.”

Turner says she “just got goosebumps” in response to Nash’s story about Asner.
“I couldn’t look at him. I could not,” Nash says of her Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony with Asner. “If I turn my head and look at him, I’m going to cry my fake eyelashes off.”
“I was just shaking – just because it was such a full circle moment,” she adds to Turner in the clip.
