Rob Kardashianraised eyebrows when he startedspending timewith exBlac Chyna’s nemesisAlexis Skyy— and a source tells PEOPLE that was part of the plan.
“All thedrama he had with Chynais still very much bothering him. He will probably never get over the way Chyna treated him,” the source tells PEOPLE. “Spending time with Alexis is his way of getting back at Chyna. He is involved with Alexis, but who knows what will happen.”
And though the source notes that Kardashian is still a “recluse,” the reality star can’t help but find himself mixed up in trouble.
“Rob knows he is supposed to stay low-key and not involve himself in drama,” says the source. “He gets bored though and can’t help himself.”

As news of Kardashian and Skyy’s romance spread, theLove and Hip Hopalum, 24, has insisted that the pair’s relationship is the real deal.
Days after Kardashian and Skky documented having dinner together, the reality star responded to criticism from Chyna’s boyfriend, rapper Kid Buu, who suggested that Skyy was only interested in Kardashian because of his famous last name.
Commenting on an Instagram photo of Skyygetting out of a car, which she shared on Friday, the 30-year-old rapper wrote, “You really wit robs fat ass for love or is it just for clout?” according toThe Shade Room. The comment appears to have since been deleted.
In response, Skyy criticized his relationship with 30-year-old Chyna, before adding, “to answer your question…I love rob.”
Prior to Skyy’s confession, sparks seemed to fly between the pair last week, when the father of one shared a series of videos and photos of Skyy making him dinner at what appears to beKris Jenner‘s Calabasas, California, mansion.
Their at-home dinner date night came after Kardashian called Skyy his Women Crush Wednesday, writing over a photo of Skyy, “I’ve been wanting you for so long.”
