Sarah Paulsonand Holland Taylor have Twitter to thank for their romance.

The couple, who have been dating since 2015, had known one another for years before their romance sparked. And according to Paulson, it all went down in the DMs!

During a visit toWatch What Happens Live withAndy Cohenon Wednesday, theGlassactress, 44, recalled how she met Taylor.

“It’s a long story. We met a very, very long time ago. I was with someone else and she was too,” Paulson told Cohen and Billy Eichner, herAmerican Horror Storycostar who was also guesting on the Bravo late night talk show.

That prompted Eichner to ask, “So Holland Taylor slid into your DMs?”

“She actually did!” Paulson said, with a laugh. “It’s pretty great.'

So what happened after the DMs? Paulson toldModernLuxuryin June thatthey eventually set up a dinner date. They’ve been going strong ever since.

“It’s the most wonderful, extraordinary thing that could have ever possibly happened in my life,” Taylor, 76, said on WNYC’sDeath, Sex & Moneypodcast in 2015.

“[Holland was]the most exquisitely beautiful woman I’d ever seen,” Paulson toldThe Sunday Timesin June.

And as for the age difference, that doesn’t bother Paulson.

“I think a lot of people have a stunted way of looking at older people, it’s a way of distancing themselves from something that they think will not happen to them,” she toldThe Times, adding, “I have the good fortune of being with someone who is older and wiser than I am.”

“People look at me and Holland and say, ‘Mommy issues,’ but I parent her as much as she parents me, so that’s not it,” Paulson added.

She added toModern Luxury: “If anyone wants to spend any time thinking I’m strange for loving the most spectacular person on the planet, then that’s their problem.”
