In June, eagle-eyed fans noticed that Gomez, 31, hadseemingly unfollowedDua Lipaon Instagram.
Clearing up the matter, theOnly Murders in the Buildingstar told business magazineFast Companyin a new interviewpublished Tuesday that her pressing the unfollow button on the “Levitating” singer’s account “was an accident.”
“I was just cleaning up some of my Instagram. Then somebody called me and was like, ‘What happened with Dua?!’ ” the singer and actress continued, dampening any speculation of a feud.
“A little Versace/Dua moment 🦋,” the “Calm Down” singer wrote alongside a snap of her in the dress on Instagram.

The beauty co-founder — who has 430 million Instagram followers — has taken various breaks from social media over the years, most recentlyin Februaryof this year.
“I’m going to be taking a second from social media, because this is a little silly,” she said in a TikTok Live. “I’m 30 and am too old for this.”
The move came afterGomez reacted to a fan-made TikTok videothat implied thatHailey Bieber’s TikTok video shared in January was a subtle jab at her. In the clip, the model lip-synced to a viral audio sound alongside two friends, includingKendall Jenner.
